Pedagogy Presentation (20 minutes)
We encourage proposal submissions on the following categories:
– Piano technique, wellness, and health
– Research-based piano pedagogy
– Repertoire Underrepresented Composers
– Competition, audition, and recital preparation

Lecture Recital (15 minutes)
We encourage proposal submissions on the following categories:
– Pedagogical repertoire
– Non-traditional piano literature
*It must include both teaching commentary and live performance.
Max performance time: 5 minutes

Career Workshop
Engage directly with world-class experts in the field, skill-building sessions. Included for all registered participants.
Topics presented include:
– How to Give an Effective Masterclass (Dr. Scott McBride Smith – University of Kansas)
– Career Realities for Pianists (Dr. Ivy Wang – University of Kansas)
– Musicianship Development (Dr. Theresa Bogard – University of Wyoming)

Attendance fee gives the right of attendance in all events of the Online
Piano Pedagogy Conference in all days, including
sessions in languages other than English.

The IPPA Piano Pedagogy Conference, held biennially, brings together teachers, scholars, and students from around the world for hands-on learning and meaningful exchange. The 2026 conference centers on the themes of Internationalization, Impact, and Illumination, offering practical, down-to-earth insights for teaching and practicing, while celebrating outstanding educators and inviting fresh perspectives on piano pedagogy.
The Online Conference offers piano teachers from around the world the opportunity to share their expertise within the IPPA international community. We invite proposals for lecture-recitals and presentations, and welcome participants to join our global network of piano educators through panel discussions and collaborative exchange.
We look forward to building new connections and discovering the compelling and rarely heard repertoire you recommend. The conference will also feature Career Development Workshops designed for young professionals and graduate piano students.
To foster inclusivity, engagement, and internationalization, sessions will be accepted in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Mandarin. Presentations will be scheduled on the following dates:
English sessions: May 16th β 17th and June 6th β 7th
Spanish sessions: June 20th
Mandarin sessions: May 6th
Portuguese sessions: June 13th
