One of the highlights on Day 3 was an eye-opening presentation our Pedagogy Fellow, Zhongyan Cao, who recently won first place in the Tencent Music AI Hackathon, on Tech in Music. From AI-assisted score generation to a creative application for improvisation and music teaching, the session offered practical ideas that are already shaping the way we think about music education.Classical music has always evolved alongside new ideas and technologies. Day 2 continued with another wonderful afternoon and evening at the 2026 IPPA Conero International Piano Festival!Our afternoon began with an inspiring masterclass Dr. Peter Mack. Congratulations to Christopher Smith, Niles Zhao, and YeaWon Kim for their terrific performances and insightful work throughout the session.Following the masterclass, participants attended the first pedagogy presentations, where engaging discussions and valuable teaching ideas were shared among students and faculty.We then closed the day with Student Recital I, featuring outstanding performances from participants in our Young Musician, Professional, and Concerto Programs. It was a beautiful evening filled with artistry, dedication, and musical excellence.Day 2 has been another great success, and the festival is just getting started. Day 1 of the 2026 IPPA Conero International Piano Festival was a success! 🎹🇮🇹✨Yesterday marked the official beginning of our festival journey. Several of our participants traveled together from Rome to Recanati, enjoying the beautiful Italian scenery along the way before arriving ready for an incredible nine days of music, learning, and connection.After arrival, we held our orientation meeting to welcome everyone, introduce the festival activities, and prepare for the inspiring experiences ahead. We also captured our traditional group photo in the beautiful main piazza of Recanati, alongside the statue of the legendary poet Giacomo Leopardi — a special moment that brings our entire festival community together. 📸The first day concluded with our Opening Concerto, featuring past competition winners and faculty members who shared their artistry and inspiration with everyone, setting the perfect tone for the days ahead.What a wonderful start to the 2026 IPPA Conero International Piano Festival!
