Dr. Helber Fernandes Ribeiro

Helber Fernandes Ribeiro is a distinguished concert pianist and piano instructor specialized in the piano repertoire of the XIX century. A native of Brazil, he combines a deep understanding of musical aesthetics with a structured approach to teaching, inspiring audiences and students alike. He is a passionate advocate for inclusion in music education, integrating innovative teaching methods and research to address diverse learning needs, including those of students with disabilities.

Helber earned his Doctor of Arts in Music Performance with an emphasis on piano performance and pedagogy from the University of Northern Colorado, where his dissertation explored Brazilian piano works in comparison with established pedagogical methods. He also holds a master’s degree in music performance from Fort Hays State University and a Bachelor’s in Music from the University of São Paulo.

As an educator, Helber has taught piano students of all ages and skill levels in academic and studio settings, earning accolades for his dedication to student growth.
