Zishan Ding

Zishan Ding is A young pianist and educator, she is also an active chamber musician and piano instructor. Ding Zishan has taught at the Herberger School of Music at Arizona State University, and the San Francisco Music Academy, as well as founded the DS Piano Academy. She has also been a teacher at the San Diego Music Academy, a member of the American IPPA, MTAC, MTNA, an official Steinway Educational Partner, and a teacher at the Chinese Cultural Center at San Diego State University in the United States. She is a Jury member of the Pacific Star International Competition and IPPA Conero International Competition.

Zishan Ding studied with Bösendorfer artist Dr. Baruch Meir, at the Herberger School of Music at Arizona State University with a Doctorate Degree in piano performance. She graduated from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music with a Master’s Degree, in Dr. Sharon Mann’s studio. She graduated from the Conservatoire de Lyon (France), under Professor Mr. Pontier and Professor Marc David Sanchez’s studio. Shas performed and competed extensively in China, Europe, and the United States, and has participated in many well-known music festivals. She has received the Herberger School of Music at Arizona State University and San Francisco Conservatory of Music Young Artist Scholarships, and has won second place at the ASU International Piano Concerto Competition, first prize at the 11th Youth International Piano Competition in Paris, and served as an assistant at the 5th Bösendorfer International Piano Competition in Tempe, Arizona. She has performed at prestigious venues such as the National Music Hall in France, Kastelruth Parish Music Hall in Italy, Prosels Castle, the San Francisco Symphony Hall, the San Francisco Bay Area Arts Center, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, the Davis Symphony Hall, the Katzin Music Hall at the Herberger School of Art, the Tempe Arts Center, the Scottsdale Arts Center, and the Capital Grand Theater in China.

As a young musician, Ding Zishan has been mentored by world-renowned musicians such as Leon Fleisher, Eduardo Delgado, Kei Saotomé, and Alexander Brussilovsky, who have given her high praise. She has been interviewed by media outlets such as Chinese television channels, Chinese language channels, Tencent Video, Phoenix Net, and Sohu. Ding Zishan has been invited to perform at many prestigious events, concerts, and festivals, and has collaborated with numerous well-known conductors to perform concertos such as the Yellow River Piano Concerto, the Grieg Piano Concerto, the Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. one in B-flat minor, and the Paganini Theme and Variations for Piano and Orchestra.
